Trump indictment includes edited text of his speech on J6

They removed all the parts where he said peacefully protest, etc.

Also, now that his legal team can subpoena evidence, the J6 committee is destroying documents.

Par for the course with commies.

Why? Can MAGA's not download PDF files or play video clips?

I hate it that supporting evidence for MAGA claims such as this is just so incredibly hard to come by in this technologically backwards day and age.

The complete speech is of course public record. Here's the complete transcript. Trump only mentions anything about "peace" one time.

https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/donald-trump-speech-save-america-rally-transcript-january-6

"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

He uses the word "fight" eleven times, including saying this.

"And we fight. We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore."

Or are you saying, by fight, it was a dog whistle to go take over the government?

Lmao, this is just sad

Yes, fight was a dog whistle to use force to prevent the certification of the election by Congress. When you say fight because you're not going to have a country anymore because the election was stolen(it wasn't), what else would the crowd think he meant for them to do?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Indeed context does matter.

Context does indeed matter.

Politicians use the word “fight” in election season almost as much as they use the plea ‘give us money’ to prospective donors.

Fat chance that SCOTUS will interpret “fight” in the context of an election process dispute speech … especially when the same speech implored ‘peaceful’ and ‘patriotic’ to the audience … will view Trump’s use of “fight” as inciting violence.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So “fight” means physically fight, and “peacefully” means physically fight?

Well Tom, that would be quite the issue if the chief traitor was being charged with "incitement to riot or insurrection" related to the J6 speech. It has zero bearing on the actual charges against him(just like free speech or the "he believed he won the election" issues). The fact is is THEY took unconstitutional (i.e. illegal) actions to overturn the election (the most obvious being the "fake electors" plan). At least man up like John Eastman recently did in an interview in which he said "At some point abuses become so intolerable that it becomes not only their right but their duty to alter or abolish the existing government.”. You can see the full 90 minute interview on YouTube but I liked this article on it here:

Pence would have delayed (not overturned) election

No. They. Didn’t.

Pence had the prerogative of not certifying the electors from the states that did not follow their own state constitutions when certififying their own elections and seating their own slate of electors.

Pence would then have requested for SCOTUS to weigh in.

None of this would have ‘overturned’ the 2020 election.

America has been gaslighted by the endless stream of reports that people who criticized Pence’s phony reasoning as being people who wanted America’s electoral process demolished.

Pence did not have the power to do that, and everyone involved knew he didn't. Pence refused to violate his oath of office when his boss repeatedly told him to, and upheld the United States Constitution.

Gore didn't refuse to certify the electors. Even though he disagreed with the Court's decision handing the election to Bush, he issued a concession speech and faithfully counted the electoral votes in his opponent's favor.

He was honorable and upheld the Constitution, just like Pence did.

First of all, it's not a transcript of Trump's January 6 speech and doesn't pretend to be. It presents several quotations and doesn't purport to be doing more than that. Thus, it doesn't "remove" anything from Trump's speeches.

Second, you're simply wrong because the indictment contains multiple instances where Trump says to stay peaceful:
- Paragraph 114(a): "Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!"
- Paragraph 114(b): "I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order -- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!"
- Paragraph 118: "Go home with love & in peace."

Indictment worded to max out propaganda impact on the public

1

Aug 9, 2023, 1:31 PM [ in reply to Wrong. ]
Reply

The reason for the indictment itself leaving out adjectives such as ‘peaceful’ and ‘patriotically’ when citing protest is to create one sided propaganda to anger the American public in advance of this indictment crashing and burning into yet another loss for the TDS crowd.

The other target tactic is to gag Trump from being able to counter the propaganda from the prosecution. Trump gets to express himself; prosecution loses their propaganda battle.

This cannot be allowed to happen.

(*). The Democrats and establishment Republicans ‘win’ in the ‘court of public opinion’ (e.g., propagandizing the American public to come over to the lefty TDS point of view that Trump is, by definition of being Trump, guilty of everything). When the Democrats and RINOs lose in the courtroom (not a typo … it is “when” not “if”), they will have improved their chances for electoral victory.
