night. Detroit linemen clearly go up to the official and check in as eligible before the play, and yet one of them, the one who caught what SHOULD have been the winning two point conversion, is declared ineligible. What a crock, but how do you prove it?
I wish somebody would come up with a parabolic mike that caught the audio of the linemen checking in, so it COULD be proven that they both did. They both obviously went over to the official, why would they, other than to check in?
The most blatant case of Zebras taking a game away from the rightful winning team lately, but not the only one, I'm sure.
I hope these two teams hook up again in the playoffs. The Lions will be angry, and rightfully so.

call after the game with Bald Van Pelt on ESecPN. They played the video I referred to, where the Detroit players clearly went over to the official before the play and checked in as eligible. The official just wasn't paying attention and doing his job.
Of course, Jerry couldn't have the Cowboys losing on the night he finally relented and put Jimmmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor. That would have rained on his Parade, can't have THAT!

That he didn’t report or an illegal number, it was illegal touching. 68 was on the end of the line cover up by a wideout about 5 yards away. Only the player on the end of the line or a back can first touch a pass. Hence it was illegal touching which is what the Referee said when announcing the penalty.
If you listened to the announcers they were totally screwing up the accessment of what the actual call penelty was.

Uh no that was not the explanation given by the refs. The refs said they threw the mental bc it was number 70 checking in not number 68 which made him ineligible to catch the pass hence the "illegal touching" even though it is clear as day on video that both 68 and 70 checked in with the ref and he wasn't paying attention
It has nothing whatsoever to do with how many yards off the ball he caught the pass and anyone who has told you that is making it up

Also, in reference to referees, they seem to spot the ball less than where the ball should be spotted. Not all the time but often.

He wasn’t covered up by a wideout. The foul was illegal touching due to his jersey number. Very bad call and egregious error by the refs whether intentional or not.
