It reminded me how important recruiting is

And I’m not just talking about speed and height

You have to recruit kids that are teachable and give max effort.

I think that’s especially hard to find at WR these days because a lot these kids all want to be superstars, but don’t want to put the hard it takes to be elite.

Blocking, route running, and catching are all things a player can develop with determination. Then giving max effort on every play is what separates a 3rd down converting machine from a 4/5 star bust.

Hard to do, but finding determined kids with non stop motors is really important

I hated it too. He was left with a bare cupboard accentuated by a lot of injuries this year.

All true but the fanbase was not happy with the offense. Many thought it'd go higher than Stuckey... but appears to be he took the fall. However, wouldn't shock me if more didn't get axed.

We need a WR coach that can teach blocking (if we continue to throw those sideline screens) and be able to coach the bigger receivers to win the 50/50 balls. Xavier Dye comes to mind along with bringing back Jeff Scott. We seem to be solid a slot receiver going forward but got to get a DeAndre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant, Mike Williams, Tee Higgins.... type of receivers.
