realize we are as far from 1970 as 1970 is from WWI. If that has an impact on you then also realize why you complain about changes to college football and probably like me, you tell those little a-holes to get off your lawn.

I started Clemson in 1969. Classes 5 1/2 days a week; Freshmen were not allowed cars on campus; and the ratio of male to female students was 4.9 to 1 (this included women taking education courses at night you never saw) and calculators were slide rules. Except for new A and F, Johnstone Hall did not have A/C. Two bars downtown and one beside Scotty's on 123. Legal drinking age for beer and wine was 18 (except in Georgia). WSBF played good music and had some interesting evening programs. Student population was approx. 7,900.

I lived on A8 from 1982-1984. I preferred living off campus though because I had my car there at the apartment from 1984-1987. Great memories there!

God has been so good to all of us, I’m so thankful I was born in America! Land of the free!
The kids today grow up much slower than we did because we could run free all day as long as we were home for dinner.
We could survive on our on at 14-15 years old and we were fully capable without a phone.

You would be surprised. the vast majority of teens are on their own. Their parents are merely feeding them and entertaining them. They have to figure out the rest of life on their own.
