Is that really a prediction? I think we have a 40‰ chance... Maybe slightly less. I have not watched new Mexico and so, if I go by the media and Vegas, we lose bigly.

Seeing as how the players, Hall in particular are upset over fans bashing their coach, and how they feel disrespected being the underdog as a higher seed, the players may come out on fire to prove a point. But history shows us that the basketball team struggles in the post season. Add on top of that New Mexico is on a 5 game winning streak and its March Madness, anything can happen. I'd say it's a 50/50 tossup. On paper we have the better team, but the end of season run added with our history makes me concerned we're going to be another 1 & done.

Same as any other, if we shoot well, limit turnovers and play defense without fouling we are are good. No mystery, just basketball as it has always been. The big concern is their guards are very good and defending guards that can score is our weakness so the defend without fouling is most important.

We play better as an underdog.
Also, and I'm a data guy so I know this really doesn't matter, but how likely is it that all four 11-seeds win?

Im giving us a 75% chance Why ? 1 we have won against more powers on the road UNC Bama both we took them down on the road there best win is SDSU solid we edge them out though. 2 if JG3 gets hot it might be wraps he will have to play defense they have good guards. 3 ACC trumps MWC comp that loss to GT is much better than their loss to Air Force.
