What happened to the offense in 2nd half?

Amazing first half. 2nd half I think we 3-out, pick 6, drive the field for TD response, then basically nothing for 20 mins of football.
I gotta believe ND started doing something different on D. All of a sudden the OL had no push or pass protection, which they were pretty great at in the 1st half. Very weird game on the offensive side.

I disagree the whole fourth we played field position because Dabo knew his team...he knew the offense is prone to mistakes...even playing ultra conservative, we still made huge mistakes down the stretch....playing field position is the reason we overcame the bad snaps, fumble and drops .

as the defense keeps adjusting to your offense. But I am sure it's actually that the coaches hoped to lose the game and failed a that.

Cade was slinging the ball on lots of slants in the first half..... probably as a result of the run. Second half we kept killing ourself, but it didn't matter.
Big win..... great step up by younger players and the OL played great overall.

Adjustments and, let's be real, our depth was being tested with all the injuries.
Thankfully, our defense clamped down in the 4th to secure the W.

So it looked like ND went to more of a man to man coverage and tried to load the box and used a few run blitzes. The good news was we still ran the ball well in the second half, but we quit taking chances with the passing game.

Well, we couldn’t throw deep because there was essentially no pocket for Cade, so he had to go to quick dumps.
