SIAP. On Fox & Friends this morning, he was extolling the virtues of the SEC and bragging that they have two teams in the Elite 8 and could conceivably have the final two teams playing for the championship.
“That’s just who we are in the SEC,” JJJ said. “We’re the best at everything we do.” He’s a Georgia native and UGA fan, apparently subscribing to the notion that the tournament SEC teams equate to Georgia being there.
I love his service and sacrifice, but Joey, that’s just a crock. Don’t look now, but another conference may toss a monkey wrench into those dreams.

I love that guy, too.
My neighbor, a retired doctor - and by all accounts from those around him who would know, one of the best in SC - is a Tennessee grad. I love him (like a brother 😊), too, but he is not only passionate about his Vols, he preaches that same carp.
Honestly, though, while many deny it, we are all similar in our conference loyalty. For me, it is SWEET seeing THREE ACC teams in the elite eight. As much as I DESPISE uncheat, I would’ve loved to see FOUR of the final eight from the ACC, as well. Not because I like those teams, but mainly because it would be a HUGE slap to all those who downplayed or discredited: 1) Us; 2) our record; 3) the conference. Not to mention the fact that the teams we played - and some we lost to - WERE good teams. As was the ACC, where all but ONE of our losses came from.

I pull for ACC teams not because I love them so much, and certainly not because I think UNC = Clemson when the Tarheels are playing, for example, but because I think ultimately it benefits Clemson when they win. It cuts into the national narrative that we only win because we play in a weak conference, especially in football.
I think a lot of SEC fans pull vicariously for other SEC teams.

Fox does have sports network if you wanna hear non ESPN people who know about basketball talk about the tournament.
I only clicked this link because I thought he might have been a recruit I had never heard of.

Well, geech, next time keep on passing by. Who the heck needs you? My point was not to get his game commentary but to illustrate how delusional SEC folks are. He’s bragging about having two teams in the Elite 8, neither of which is Georgia, and how great they must be to have two of the top 8 teams. No mention that the ACC has three.
Every Gamecock fan I know is the same way. But as perusual, giant snowflakes such as yourself let the main point go right over your head. Low IQ.

You willingly are watching. Even a low IQ person like me knows how to change to a better channel. I imagine you're not used to hearing anything at all that isn't completely in tune with what you already think; that's why you watch the cable news channel that you watch. Before you get started no I don't watch CNN or MSNBC; all of the one sided cable channels on both sides of the aisle are trash.
