simply put ethics clauses in his contract. If found guilty of any violations, not only would he be fired with cause, he must buy himself out of the remainder of his contract. It's like a self paying fine to your employer. Clemson has a great reputation. Build the damages to that reputation into the contract. We get a great coach with large financial penalties if he does not do things the right way.

Right. But I think the issue is that he proved himself to be an unethical slimeball.
So… what else would he be willing to do?
It’s a risk.
And I sure don’t like the guy.

I think you'll find the opinion shifts based on whether they got to cheer for the alumni or not. After all this board does seem to largely think Deshaun Watson is just a misunderstood young man who was the target of a highly coordinated smear campaign.

get a school punished by the NCAA and he did just that. If you cheat in one aspect, you’ll cheat in another so the paying players is legal now doesn’t change a thing. He cheated, he lied about it and tried to payoff to cover it up. Doesn’t make the cut for Clemson. He still has a show cause in place I believe.
