Will we win the CFP this year?

I don’t know and neither do any of us on this board. At this point in time, I would say it doesn’t look likely but it didn’t look likely back in 2016 either.

In 2016, through the first eight games of the year, the winning margin in five of those games was between three and seven points. That’s right…. five of our first eight games were one score games.

Then, in the tenth game of the year we lost….at home to Pitt. The defense looked horrible. DW made bad decisions.

As I was walking out of the stadium that day I didn’t think we would even make the playoffs…..much less win the championship. I bet no one on this board thought we would win the natty after that Pitt game.

The point I’m trying to make is this…. Sit back and enjoy what we are witnessing. I’m not a sunshine pumper nor do I have “the sky is falling” mentality. I’m a realist and the reality is we are winning games. The reality is we are growing as a team. The reality is we are getting better. The reality is we are in the discussion for the playoff and no one knows how this will conclude.

At this same point in the 2016 season no one thought we had a chance. Yet the team came together and finished strong. My advice…. sit back and enjoy the ride…. just like 2016, you never know how this season will end.

We can beat anyone but right now lets finish the business before us and under our control Right now OSU looks like their path is easiest as the Conference is way down. Georgia is solid and I believe we will go undefeated.

to think it’s at least possible.

We have improved more that I thought we would at this point. We must keep improving if we want to win playoff games.

There has not been a Clemson playoff team that I didn't, during some part of the season, say this just isn't our year.

Just keep winning.
