What’s the deal?

Currently over WY on my way to Boise and can see two people from my seat with their shoes off. This ain’t your house…

I've flown all over the world and never took off my shoes. But I understand someone wanting to be comfortable by taking off their shoes.

Socks on, no problem (at least for me).

No shoes or socks? Toss 'em out the emergency door.

One with, one without…the one with socks did at least put her shoes on to go to the bathroom…although she left the shoes untied and walked on the strings…animal.

What is the big deal about bare feet that seems to bother so many people? Is there some shame in not wearing shoes? Do some people regard feet as a body part that must be concealed from public display?

The folks who are offended by unshod feet are a weird bunch.

There are few things more miserable than flying on a commercial airline flight

Every single aspect of it flat sucks. The security check in, the waiting, the boarding process, the tiny seats with no leg room - then some jackhole leans their seat back making it virtually intolerable, the flight itself so long and boring - babies screaming, nasty people coughing, sneezing and hacking, then trying to get off the plane is an outright nightmare. The whole thing, just absolutely terrible.

There are very few things more amazing in modern human life than being able to fly from the US to Europe over night.

The idea any of us could easily from from the east coast of America to the west coast with little to no trouble, in comfort, with food, drink, and videos for entertainment with a bathroom close at hand is terrific.

And yet whiny folk complain about how awful the flights are?

Hells bells folks, you are sitting in a reasonably comfortable chair, in an air conditioned space moving at 500 mph and you still find things to ##### about.

OMG

All the whiners need to be homeless and dead broke in a city far from your home for a few days. Just maybe you'd come to your senses and recognize how easy and comfortable your lives are through no effort of your own.

Geez I thought this was gonna be about stinky feet. Instead it’s germaphobes & Ms Manners. Have you never gone barefoot in a mud hole? I agree air travel is a PiA but people without their shoes on is trivial compared to the rest. I’m no fan of passenger planes but they beat #### out of 2 days driving compared to 4 hrs flying.

Let’s talk about a weight limit for passengers. My last seat mate flying back from NYC (+350) asked for a seat belt extension. I didn’t know there was such a thing

Same lady who is wearing socks has wired ear buds…she took them out and they fell to the floor for a good 15-20 minutes. I started surveilling someone else (I’m a people watcher…what can I say) and next time I make my rounds, she has them back in her ears. Now thats just nasty…
