YouTubeTV freezing/buffering fix

After enduring YouTube TV freezing and buffering for way too long on our Samsung Smart TV, we added a Roku. Problem solved. Hope that helps any other clueless folks like us have a better viewing experience watching the game tomorrow.

I have a Samsung. Periodically I have to unplug and replug it. Seems to clear up the youtubetv issue.

For many years I was brand loyal to Sony. Someplace along the line I switched over to Samsung TV's. Generally speaking, I have had mostly positive experience with Samsung smart TV's. However, I recently purchased a new Arris router because my old Netgear was suspected as having a weak signal (I use Wifi calling on my Samsung smart phone and was having trouble with dropped calls if I was too far from the router). My Samsung smart TV (about 5 years old) will not stay connected to the new router. when it drops the signal, it is normally during idle periods, but occasionally it happens while watching - as it did during last week's Clemson game. Incredibly, when it breaks its connection with the router, it forgets the password, so I have to go through setup routine over & over. I've googled and You-tubed every conceivable "solution" to the problem, all to no avail. Samsung helpline tells me I need to get a new TV! Rather than do that, I'll hookup the old router, despite the hassle of reconnecting everything in the house back to it. Other than the connectivity issue, the TV has delivered exceptional service. Thanks for letting me vent here!

Ended up doing an Apple TV but had the same issue. Annoying but glad I wasn’t the only one. Thought I was going crazy. Watching it with Apple TV is much better though.
