Apparently in my semi-drunken state Saturday, I questioned the man's integrity due to the band placement and lies. This is why I don't twitter or facebook, and should lay off email too.
He responded much classier than I would have:

Mr. TD2:
Thank you for your email. We received numerous inquiries from Clemson fans regarding the location of the visiting band. Here are a few facts that hopefully help clarify the issue for you.
Unfortunately the 140 characters provided by Twitter don’t allow enough room to cover some topics in a single texts.
• I indicated that opposing teams have placed our band in the upper deck of their stadium. No one at Tech indicated that was the case at Clemson. I later specified that UVA, UNC and Miami are all ACC teams that place visiting bands in the upper deck.
• Since individuals asked, I provided a video clearly showing our band in the upper deck at UVA.
• I am aware that part of Clemson’s non-conference contract with South Carolina specifies the location for bands – there is no such stipulation for ACC games.
• We received numerous positive Tweets from Clemson fans regarding the hospitality they received at Tech.
Best of luck to Clemson. You have a great team and you should be proud.

instead of outrage, I just smile because we're just THAT kind of elite. We're getting past the point where everyone in the country loves us as the underdog that knocked Alabama off the perch, but instead, they'll all now hate us because we're at the the top with no signs of going anywhere anytime soon. Alabama has been the 'Evil Empire' for many years, and you know you've arrived when you start generating THAT kind of hate. Sure VT can explain that away like they did, but we all know it was calculated to give them any advantage in trying to knock US off the perch. It stinks for the kid that has to schlep a tuba up those steps, but sacrifices have to be made for the greater good.

Not that I give a rats #### about the band, I do find Tech's ignorance humorous. Despite having to sit behind these Tech knuckleheads in DV, if you look closely it's pretty clear that we put the Tech band in the WEZ.
