RIP Teddy Balkind, youth hockey player from CT

Jan 12, 2022, 10:34 AM

Just heard about this. How tragic. I have a 16yo and can't imagine something like this, and for his dad to have witnessed it - awful. Great story, though, about how the hockey community, and many others, are coming together in remembrance of his life. There's something special about the community of sports, from the athletes to the fans. Sports teams truly are families in their own right. I can't imagine how the kid who inadvertently hit him must feel, or the many teammates and opposition players who were there. Life is short and never to be taken for granted.

Thanks for sharing the article about Teddy. What a great response from the NHL and hockey players of all ages! It warms my heart to see the love being poured out for Teddy and his family. Let’s also remember the young man and his family whose skate caused Teddys accidental death. Prayers for all who are hurting right now.
