Kwestion for conservatives?

How come their are no Conservative comedian/ Political Pundents?
The libs have John Stewart, Steve Colbert, and Bill Maher.
Meanwhile the Conservatives have....hmmmm... well there is rush Limbaugh, but he is funny for a different reason.
Is this because Conservatives are so stiff that they can not succeed in entertainment, or are they just easy targets to make fun of?

because of career longevity. Honestly, I don't know why others haven't followed his lead. There is a HUGE untapped market for conservative comedy. Look at how successful the blue collar guys were.

Adam Carolla and Dennis Miller are definitely on the right side of things, and they're both pretty funny (although I guess they're not really political pundits). I also think conservative comedians are a little less likely to make politics the center of their shtick, so you're less likely to know they're conservative and they're less likely to be pundits.
I can see how people would think Stewart and Colbert are funny, but Bill Maher is just awful.

Agree about Maher. Colbert is hilarious and...

his show is incredibly well-written. Daily Show doesn't make me laugh as much as Colbert's but Stewart's filter and interviews are amazing.
Carolla is a curmudgeon, who sometimes goes political. I like him but in small doses. He can be overbearing, imo.
Miller I put with Maher. They are more political than comedian and like to try to show how "smart" they are even when their views are anything but.

so they won't hire comedians that make fun of liberal ideals. That would be true for those comedians that make political jokes. Those that don't use political jokes may be conservative and just not advertise it. Once they succeed they can "come out" like Dennis Miller did.
Just another example of those that demand tolerance exhibit none.
At least that's my theory

Hollywood doesn't like them. MSM doesn't like them. There's really no venue for them in the media where they either won't be given a chance or be run off the air as soon as they offend someone.
But in reality the PC movement has successfully destroyed almost all good comedy. As such, it's hard for a conservative to be funny since funny has been redefined for at least 2 generations.

Funny has been redefined in the last 2 generations?

How so? 2 generations would be what, 40 years? You are saying comedy today is worse than in the 60s/70s?
As far as Comedy being "PC", if anything it went the other way. Louis C.K., Comedy Central's entire programming schedule right now (Tosh.0, South Park, Jeselnik Offensive, workaholics, ben show, etc..) is not PC. (Not really political either except for Daily Show/Colbert Report)
The real answer I think is that Comedy is mainly a young person's market. Young people skew liberal/democrat so the comedy you see appears liberal. (In terms of political comedy, other than Dennis Miller I don't see anyone who could be considered conservative.)

How bout the liberal comedians are racists, homophobes, bigots, and slander minorities women, gheys, etc. with impunity and the libs think it is funny as hec, and the racist comedians get applauded for it. A conservative comedian/pundit doing that would be skewered or ran out of the business so fast you would never be able to say, Bill Mahr.

Seth McFarland is a lib, and comes across about as racist, homophobic, and anti sematic as they come...but just on the surface. The difference is he does not believe the crap he spews, he makes fun of pretty much everyone with equal vigor and manages not to be hateful in his delivery.
you se there is a difference between joking and being spiteful. This is part of my theory as t why there are few, if any good conservative comedians, they actually believe their own BS, except Anne Coultere and Sean Hannity, they just like selling books and making lots of money.
