He will be a great quarterback. He just has to get a pocket awareness. I know a couple plays were designed rollouts but the other plays, he was in a hurry to leave the pocket. He has to get game reps in to feel that out. Sadly today the game was closer so starters stayed in n longer. Didn’t help his second drive they started at the 1. He throw a great ball to A Williams, who had a guy wrapped around his neck and he still almost caught it. If he hits that pass everything is different. But it was a pass interference, nothing we can do.

It does help to have some blocking. He had a little happy feet, but the oline was awful today.

I’m not sure I completely agree Bill. I don’t like the position he was put into nor did his OL give him much time. it’s actually amazing DJ looked as good as he did behind that line. A bit early to pass judgment on whether he rivals other Clemson greats don’t you think?
Would’ve been nice if our defense could’ve had more three and out so both he and DJU could’ve gotten more opportunities/reps.

You're an idiot. He's had 3 drives as a Clemson Tiger. The first drive, he was unbelievable. The second drive, he had 1.7 seconds to throw the ball. None of the receivers could get open, but he still almost completed one. That entire drive had such an odd feel about it it seemed like Dabo wanted him to do poorly to try to stop arguments of a QB controversy in his locker room, which has been a major point in the media this week. The third drive, he almost delivered a dime on a very deep ball that the Furman player had to commit PI to stop. This is during the same period of time our other QB was averaging 3.2 yards per attempt and had just thrown a terrible pick.

I never thought he would ever be able to rival those 2. Those 2 are 2 of the best that have ever played college football. Time will tell though.

He was only given two series that were miles apart so no rhythm could be established. He was being pressured within less than 2 seconds after the snap hit his hands and no one could get open. What is he supposed to do?
