Those two appear to be as advertised. Sammy Brown has all of the physical features to include the intensity required of a Clemson Linebacker. However, his football IQ and ball awareness is quite possibly the best I've seen coming from a freshman. It seemed like he was always where the ball was on every play. Wesco is the same because he is everywhere the ball is as well. He was one of the only WRs to actually run creative routes to get open and then look at his QB to signal an open shot. His ability to get open took less than 4.0 seconds flat. Both will be useful in the future. Whenever the smoke settles during Summer and Fall Camp, I believe that Clemson will have a special 1st Team followed by very capable backup players.

4.0 seconds to get open is too long. It’s probably not his fault. I hated the routes we were running the last couple years - they didn’t fit the down and distance in many situations. What made Trevor great was his subscription to the Manning school of understanding that if you don’t unload the ball in 2.7 seconds, the odds of getting sacked jump to 97%.

4 seconds could also be from the snap until the catch. Still probably to long.

If the receiver can get open deep then 4 seconds is OK . With the protection the last few years 2 seconds is too long.

Chesty, the only thing I would add is both Wesco and Brown's abilities is the athleticism both have to make up for the lack of experience. By the time both gel, imo mid season, watch out.

I would love for Clemson to win it all and go undefeated over the next 3 seasons. Sort of like the SEC slogan, "The SEC it just means more." I want Clemson's slogan to be "CLEMSON FOOTBALL, WE DO MORE WITH LESS." Go Tigers!
