Sandy reminded me...I had Chipotle this weekend. Report:

Aug 9, 2012, 3:04 PM

I got a steak burrito

Pros:
. It tasted pretty good.
. Rice is superior to Moe's rice.

Cons:
. Steak was a little spicier than I like it. Not their fault...just ignorance by me. Will try chicken next time.

. The chips are extra! I didn't get any, because I am not a rich fool. Price was same as Moe's, but without chips.

I would not mind eating there again, but I will get chicken or maybe pork next time.

However, Moe's is still king for me. Better value, burrito taste is just as good to me, and it's 10 minutes closer.

Good thing you didn't add guac. That's an extra $14.00

Aug 9, 2012, 3:07 PM

approximately.

badge-ringofhonor-clemsonsteve02.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No way...never had guac, but it looks gross.

Aug 9, 2012, 3:08 PM

I don't really eat green stuff.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lime Sherbet? Green beans, lettuce, green peas, limas,

Aug 9, 2012, 3:10 PM

spinach, none of it?

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lettuce is tolerable with a salad dressing

Aug 9, 2012, 3:11 PM

Or on a burger. Lime sherbet? Don't really get an opportunity for that one often.

Green peppers are OK on things.

No on green beans, peas, lima beans, spinach, turnip greens, any other greens, etc.

REALLY missing out.

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

the girl I'm seeing is incredibly picky...

Aug 9, 2012, 4:04 PM

When she was growing up, her parents never made her eat anything she didn't like, and as a result: she's so averse to spicy food that she can't eat pepperonis; she doesn't like pretty much any fruit; doesn't like any beans; can't eat sour cream; never ate a hot dog until a few months ago; and gets sick to her stomach whenever she has much sugar. It must suck to have to eat bland food like that all the time.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I fear my daughter may grow up that way, but she is only

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg2005_majors_champ.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-xtiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't believe it was any larger than a Moe's burrito.***

Aug 9, 2012, 3:10 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What all did you get on it?

Aug 9, 2012, 3:13 PM

toppings are what add girth

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just salsa and cheese, I think.***

Aug 9, 2012, 3:13 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There's your problem.

Aug 9, 2012, 3:15 PM

you gotta go lettuce, pico, salsa, cheese, cheese sauce, jalapenos, corn, rice, guacamole, sour cream at least.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So you got multiple kinds of salsa on it.

Aug 9, 2012, 3:18 PM

Didn't think to try that. May have gone for the corn thing.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

My method at burrito places,

Aug 9, 2012, 3:19 PM

if they got it, put it on the burrito.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm pickier than that.

Aug 9, 2012, 3:20 PM [ in reply to There's your problem. ]

Guac and sour cream are out of the question. Probably wouldn't go for the jalapenos...too much heat for me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In review of all the facts, it does appear that Moe's

Aug 9, 2012, 3:25 PM

Indeed, next question. What is your favorite sub chain?***

Aug 9, 2012, 3:28 PM [ in reply to I think so. Its strengths are not lined up with my likes.*** ]

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't eat them often. Subway when I do.

Aug 9, 2012, 3:29 PM

I tried Firehouse once. I just get a Meatball Marinara at Subway and like it fine. Cheapest place for it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would have guessed that. I wish we had a firehouse here

Aug 9, 2012, 3:31 PM

I go for the same strategy at subway that I use at burrito places, if they have it, put it on there.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Firehouse is great, however

Aug 9, 2012, 3:47 PM

something about it just makes me ####. I can have a sub and within 5 minutes of being back in the office I am running to the bathroom trying not to #### myself. And when I'm in there it's not a normal ####, it's one of the furious kind. Where you are actually sweating while you ####.

Great place though.

All the other stuff, yes.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

peppers if possible, but this is Moe's style. I've never actually had cipotle.

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I do get rice, of course.

Aug 9, 2012, 3:17 PM

I got the same toppings on the Chipotle that I do at Moe's. I don't like the beans, really.

forgot about beans, man, what was I thinking?***
