Why does the in state rivalry get scheduled in a rural area on a Wednesday?

I swear, some people will complain about everything. In case you aren't aware, the "rural area" is Clemson University and the place was packed, even on a Wednesday night. Quit complaining and get to campus and support this team!

Wednesday’s were always traditional ACC game days along with Saturdays. That’s how it was before every game had to be televised every night and diluted the product.

Why not? Clemson is a small town surrounded by rural areas, so what? That would remain true on the other 6 days of the week. I am certain both TV and radio broadcasts are not affected by the location of the venue.

The drive is the same regardless of the day of the week and it was packed last night.

What is your suggestion, a weekend game so more folks off from work could try for SRO?

It is considered suburban.

As for scheduling, it's a really hard game to schedule. It has to be before the new year, and it can't interfere with exam week.

It also has to be scheduled around early season neutral site tournaments.

And football of course. We don't want to conflict with football.
