SCAR followers are really pouting.....

Oct 16, 2022, 8:53 PM

Tennessee was as big a dumpster fire as any SEC team just 3-4 years ago.....looks like they have rebuilt and are on the way up....whereas the Coots can't rebuild a house of cards and are still bottom feeders in the East. Moral victories and pulling for their conference champions is really all they accomplish. With Texas and Oklahoma going to the SEC....well, the race to the bottom is getting faster for them. All I can say...thank goodness I was born a Clemson Tiger!!!

Go Tigers beat 'Cuse...for 38 in a row at Death Valley.

Tennessee is a traditionally a great program.

They are not. Aside from a 3 year anomaly they have never been respectable among the top tier of college football. I don’t know why they think they are even remotely entitled to having a great program.

Not to mention that 3 year stretch had some of the worst Georgia, Tennessee & Florida teams in the modern Era! Basically it was set up perfectly for the dirtpeckers to be decent in the SEC least div.

And yet they only won the division once.

that was 100%, all Spurrier. Who is a Gator. It had zero to

to do with South Carolina or their joke of a fan base.

But hey, they have plenty of mayo now.

Agree 100%, if every a coach saved a team for a while

it was Steve.

It was a combination of things that had nothing to do with them.

The SEC East was down….way down. In fact, it was so down that a ho hum Big 12 team stepped in and won the division. The biggest boost they got was the fact that Clemson was in transition from the Bowden era. This boosted their recruiting. Even with the recruiting advantages gained from their in state rival being in upheaval it still took a lot of dirty over signing and cutting schollies to get the roster depth to where they could compete at the level they did.

Aside from that they were the worst team I have ever seen finish in the top five of the AP poll. Just flat out lucky our OC got cute the last time they beat us otherwise that team would not have even sniffed the top 10.

These are facts and I doubt the stars align for them to ever see that type of success again. They need to deal with it.

UT has been bad for a whole lot more than 3 years.

Realistically its been about 15.

It began when they demanded Fulmer step down
and has continued until the present.
I have a feeling Georgia will defeat
them in a substantial fashion and Tennessee will
find themselves in the Orange Bowl playing the
Tar Heels assuming they play in the ACCCG against
the tigers

Tennessee hasn't been the same since January 2, 2004***

Lol that fanbase is the saddest bunch of losers. I saw a post earlier this morning of them where they put a statistic up saying "We are in the AP Top 30" with a big #29 on it. How embarrassing to even put that up for the world see.

It is killing me.

Our fans were arguing just last year that “at least we aren’t Tennessee. It’s such a dumpster fire.”

Now it’s, “unfair to compare Beamer because Tennessee was in a much better place than we were.”

Your fanbase will spin whatever they need to just to fit their narrative. I know not all of you are that way but I think for most it's to keep them from just giving up being fans entirely.

In order to REbuild something, you have to have BUILT it

Oct 17, 2022, 10:33 AM

at some prior point. The Lamecoots have no such foundation. The sum total of their five year good run under Spurrier was ONE DIVISON title, accompanied by the worst SEC Championship Game blowout in history. So, let's put the permanent kibosh on any conversations about the Coots REbuilding anything.

This can't be true, we were all told they were cycling in.

I think the confusion is from Todd not expanding on the sentence. The coots were cycling into the dumpster and we were cycling out of it. Common mistake in phrasing.

Realistically they should overwhelmingly be
one team in the SEC that's disappointed with expansion.
Their lone bright spot will be reduced to the occasional upset
of one of the heavyweights that simply get caught looking ahead
to a matchup of significant importance.

Can you say Independence Bowl ? That will be their annual bowl destination
