....that we just don't have the talent we've had in years past. What happened to wide receiver u? Great talent can cover for mediocre coaching. Think back to the Sammy, Nuke, Mike Will, Renfrow, awesome defenses, Watson, Trevor, etc....days. We had ballers. We just don't have that now. Sure, there are some dudes on our team but not like there used to be. It's a cycle.....win and pull talent and keep winning. Lose and don't pull talent and keep losing. The portal has muddied those waters. I don't think we're relevant again until we get some difference makers. Sadly, that probably means hitting the stupid portal. Glad I got to see us win two Nattys in person. We gotta climb that mountain all over again. Go Tigers.

Highly talented players still need coaching. If you let the players keep bailing you out in big ways ....that will become addictive.... you become complacent...and you lose your edge and later on losing games and players.

There’s definitely a talent problem in Clemson now. I truly can’t think of one player on this roster that would’ve started in either of the two national championship seasons? Dabo has lost some dang good coaches in recent years, and replaced them with college buddies, and friends of the program. That’s why this program has been in decline for a few years now.
