When we were 8-5, after getting crushed by a very average, currently 10-6 UGA team, seeing the way the team was floundering, who in their right mind would see this coming? It's wonderful... it's near magical... but I don't understand why a team that is capable of playing at the level they've played the last 5 games should have played so pyss-poor for the first 13 games.
A team capable of playing like we've been playing for the last two weeks should be well inside the big dance bubble at this point. Everyone wants Brownell and his staff to build a basketball program here. The first step is to build some consistency, some positive momentum that translates into measurable success. For and ACC basketball team that means making the dance, at LEAST once every 2-3 years. Until two weeks ago that looked like an absolute impossibility, AGAIN. No one in their right mind could have seen this team doing what they've done in the last two weeks.
So just spare me with the childish "Brownell bashers" shyatt. The way things were going, he deserved the criticism. And now he deserves his share of the credit for the amazing turnaround. We've heard talk of a "players only" meeting after the UGA game. To me that's NOT a good reflection on the coaching staff. Whatever it was, it worked and we're all glad. But if a team with this kind of potential fails to make the dance AGAIN, it's on Brownell and staff for not having the team ready to play when they needed to be ready... that's what they get paid a LOT to do.

Ken Hatfield would have had a lifetime contract at Clemson. We'd be battling Furman and Western Carolina for recruits... and the upper decks at Death Valley would be unnecessary.
