Background to this video. Shane is talking about DE Gilber Edmond. He is one of those guys who portalled from SC to FSU. Spent 1 year at FSU and now is portalling back to SC.
Here is where the Shane spin comes in. He says Edmond would "probably be a starter" at FSU. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Edmond was a nice guy in the DE rotation. He was on the 3 deep depth chart and got some playing time last year. All indications are he is a good kid, not at all a trouble maker. Nothing to indicate that Norvell ran him off. But, even with Verse leaving this year, Gilbur would have gone into Spring practice as a guy on the 2 or 3 deep depth chart. No way was he projected as a starter. He would have been given the opportunity to fight for a starting position, but was not projected to win it. He left FSU in search of more playing time. (Which is probably the reason 75% of players enter the portal. We just never hear about them. We focus on the guys getting the big NIL deals.)
But, good for Shane. Spinning it as best he can.

Spin is all he has! He better be good at it, because winning is not his forte. He ;eaves an undefeated team, because they were left out of the playoffs, to go to an 4-8 team because the grass is greener. You can't make this stuff up lol!

My son sent me this earlier. Nothing like a good laugh in the morning. Edmond will be lucky to be 2 deep and probably 3 deep. He knew he was no where near playing at FSU. He would be better off being a Jacksonville State Gamecock (in more ways than one).

I just hope they don't run Shane off. He's probably the best coach they've ever had. At least philosophically. I know it's an easy target and provides for good laughter but he's such a great guy.
I pull for him to build a winning program. Winning program being relative. If he builds them to the ole miss level, or mizzou, I'd be happy.
My coot friends understand scar success and goals should not be the same expectation as ours.

Someone on here yesterday was concerned about all the OL recruiting they have done. Well, OL is probably the most difficult position to be good at. Just because they have names, that does not equate tp quality. Look at all out OL busts in recent years.

for his involvement in Wakey Leaks,he's a POS and far from their best coach.
3 former NC winning coaches have went to that craphole & couldn't build it up. Beamer is NOT in their league.
