Out of all that happened last night, I feel the worst for Shipley. You can tell he’s one of few who’s really laying it all on the line every snap. You can also tell he’s getting more and more agitated by the seemingly nonexistent help he’s getting around him. The amount of times I said to myself last night down in the redzone to just hand the ball to ship, no read no nothing, just a straight handoff is too much to count. Really hope offensively things turn around if for nothing other than Shipley.

I agree, I expected us to just line up and feed him once things went sideways the first time in the red zone.

I did too. They felt they were riding the hot hand with Mafah but Shipley was averaging at minimum 5 a pop and is a harder runner between the tackles than Mafah is imo. Hopefully they learn from it.

If the entire team played with Shipley's heart and desire we would boatrace any team in the nation, but c'est la vie. Effort and intensity have to change.

heart but he is unrealistic on his talent level as are all of you that put all of your hope in him. He has more heart than Spiller or Etienne, and I'd still rather have either one of them. And, running him on first down every freaking set of downs is exactly what we did last year. That wasn't DJs fault either. And it's certainly not Shipley's fault.

Had to be killing him that he wasn't carrying the ball on those plays inside the 10.

Guys. Granted he played well we can't overlook the dropped handoff at the line and then the late pass off his hands that ended in an interception. Both of those were extremely costly.

The fumbled exchange isn’t on him. It was 100% on Cade. It was a read play. On read option plays, the QB has to make a decision to stick it in the RBs gut and let it ride or pull it for themselves. Cade was in that in between of not knowing what he wanted to do and when he finally decided it was already too late. The tipped pass is 100% on him I’ll give you that, but if his only mistake is one he made with the game well out of reach, I can live with that. Especially considering all the mistakes literally everyone around him made and it seemed he was the only one playing with fire.

The dropped hand off was Klubnik’s fault. He held the ball too long.

Red zone and costing us a td and dropping that pass that hit him right in the hands. Great heart but he’s not as good as he thinks he is or some of y’all think he is. And if he is our only threat then you really just have to watch for him every play. I do not question his abilities or his effort. I question how much some of y’all put on him as if he is so good he can do this himself. We don’t have an etienne type back who can out run every one.

The tipped pass is on him. The fumbled exchange isn’t. It’s a read play. Cade has to decide to stick it in his gut or pull it. Cade decided to pull it way too late. That fumble is on the QB 10 times out of 10. It’ll be graded in film study that way as well.

If our receivers are going to continue to digress, we might as well run 2 back and 2 TE sets and just grind it our. Surprise them with a few key passes along the way. We don't have to completely look like Navy but we should probably change our mix of plays geared more heavily toward the run.

The 2 back set out of halftime completely jump started the offense. I’d like to see more of it and feels like something they wanted to hold onto until FSU but had to burn it because of how bad they looked.

and nobody around him can rally to his desire/willingness to do whatever it takes.
I do feel badly for him as well but he is a teammate first, and no time to dwell on the loss and sulk. Get back to work, get healthy, and be ready for another grind come Saturday in Death Valley.
