Of course hindsight is 20/20. But can you imagine if the ACC had not panicked and grabbed Pitt/Syracuse, and would then have been positioned to make a go for Texas/TT/OK/OSU when the Big 12 was disengrating. This would have made a 16 team superconference, with a 4 team Texas pod. We'd be celebrating the SEC/ACC mega bowl right now. Big East was never a threat.
