Should Clemson join the lawsuit?

If the ACC settles with FSU that would provide no precedent that breaks the GOR yet would leave Clemson in a league further weakened.

Assume there is lots of discussion about that at the BOT AD Pres level. Looks like we are in wait and see mode.

no. Either FSU wins and creates precendence for other schools, or FSU settles and an actual buyout figure wil be public. Either way its best to wait and see at this point.

I’d also be worried joining now if there is blowback lawsuit wise from FSU giving away some of the “trade secrets” from ESPN.
It’s a new angle to the suit where FSU could win the lawsuit but face major side consequences from the ESPN angle.

Yeah, the trade secrets are how to screw the ACC teams so you can pay the SEC more and reward Swofford and his son.

Not just yet. There is still the question of where the lawsuits will proceed, NC or Fl, and that should be answered later in March. If FSU wins that challenge the suits will be in Fla. That is the point Clemson should join. Doing so before then could help facilitate a move to Fed court, which I think would favor ACC.
