Should UM get credit for beating a (not really) Top 10 team?

Oct 15, 2022, 1:48 PM

James Franklin is 1-12 against Top and 2-18 vs. Top 10 teams. He is quite literally the Dave Doeren (0-8,1-12) of the Big 10. Decent talent, enough wins against junky teams to remain viable, but cannot win the important games outside of a fluke here or there. Twice in twelve seasons to be exact. Fully expect him to do what does--figure out how to lose, despite 2 TDs gifted to them.

Plus, Michigan has run 4x the number of the plays as Penn St in the 1st half. It will catch up in the 2nd half, & coach Khaki pants will back into the win in a game they've dominated instead.

The real question is whether a team should actually get any credit from beating a James Franklin team in a ranked vs ranked game?

No. Penn st isn't a top 20 ranked team, let alone 10. That's what the pollsters always do.
