They want Dabo's comments to be received a certain way and it clouds their judgment. Regarding the Tyler/Dabo exchange, I'll say it again, good for Dabo.

I’ve thought the same. I even have gamecock friends who defended Dabo, and that would seriously never happen.
Many of the negative comments about it have been from Clemson fans.

However, I would use the term ‘Clemson fans’ loosely.
I think the fact that Dabo responded as he did shows just how frustrating this season has been for him. I’ll go even further to say any pressure he is feeling, it is coming from within him. In Dabo I trust, and believe. As a fan who will confess that winning has ALWAYS been a ‘fault’ of mine, I also hate how the season has gone for the team, all TRUE Clemson fans, and especially for Dabo.
GO TIGERS - BEAT THE IRISH!!!

They largely glossed over "Tyler", focused the team's poor play, and let Dez have the final word about a great coach letting a kid get in his head.
And when talking heads gloss over, it's them saying "not gonna touch it." In other words, Dabo's on his own against the world -- which is kinda where Dabo thrives.
I think they win today. Gut feeling.

I heard him talking about the program more than the coach.
Rece led with the "vent spleen" comment. I guess that's him defending Dabo?
Kirk mentioned how hard it is to stay at the same level as Bama and UGA.
Didnt hear anyone say "Dabo was right on with Tyler."
If I missed that, okay.

Hard to explain in print, Reece and Kirk were neutral. My comment on national media refers to this past week in general. Usually the national media nitpicks and twists everything Coach Swinney says. That didn’t happen in this case because those that have been around sports knows Tyler is a punk.
