what kind of energy and physicality that Clemson basketball is missing. All of that energy comes from the head coach. You can tell that players on these other teams are determined to lay it all out there. The games mean something! And they hate losing. Just don’t see that out of Clemson. There is just something missing given our talent level. The only player on Clemson that plays with a losing is not an option mentality is Schef. But again it all starts with the head coach.

You are correct. Watched second half of Georgia and Florida and they went at it with hustle and physicality going to the floor fighting for the ball. I was thinking while watching we have none of that. They played with great intensity and desire to win. I’ve seen very little of that on our team. It comes down to coaching. That is why the failure over a 14 year period. Earl Grant a former assistant had his squad ready.

I watched all of the ACC tourney games so far and will watch the rest tonight and tomorrow.
Clemson was the worst of all the teams.
Absolutely no game plan, looked lost, no fighting for rebounds, can't dribble and handle the ball well, no consistent 3 point shooters, can't get the ball to Hall inside or even try.
Just poor coaching and developing of players.
There is no doubt, we could do better with a new coach. Brad has never taken the team past what Purnell did.
14 yrs. And he can't do better than Purnell.
That is totally unacceptable. He peaked after yr.5 and should have been fired.
But I'm done with him. No need to dwell on what Neff won't do. We have no control over it. We could have some control but no one is willing to do what would be necessary because it would affect our Football access and football is way more important than Clemson basketball. And Neff knows it.

Neff will never fire his bud as long as he can win over 50% of his games. Maybe we need Ray Tanner as AD as he has gamecocks BB smoking.

You ever walk off court or field after a loss and think it's all coach's fault? WTH! Nobody thinks like that unless he fell asleep or was drunk. SMH.

Our team didn't mutter under their breath to each other that coach didn't have a plan or get us prepared. They hung their heads because BC outplayed them. I'm sure CBB was blaming himself but it's on both not just the coach.

More than once. Sometimes even when I was the coach. We’ve seen it too many times with Clemson BB (double meaning- take your pick). Poor game plan, failure to adjust in game, end game strategy, getting soundly beat by teams with lesser talent, poor showing in big games.
I still pull for my Tigers, and I know they have the talent to win some games in the NCAAT. But I’ve seen enough just like many others have. I agree with JK that we should spend more on MBB. Let’s start by spending money to get a good coach to carry the program forward.

Most games your comments would be correct. But there have been a few games, including Tuesday night, when the effort was seriously lacking. You like to use the word underperforming when describing the football team and that certainly describes the effort from this team Tuesday night.

They are lollygaggers. Have no fire at all. Act like they are playing a round of golf at a snooty Country Club.

We don’t have the most money or the best facilities and our basketball history is not stellar and our fans only care about football and the carpet in the locker room is not the right color and we only have two practice courts.
