They have an annual H/A game with Notre Dame. I guess the ACC is going to allow ND to dictate that this becomes one of their annual ACC games?

ND will be ecstatic. They get to replace a “traditional “ ACC team with Standford. And I suspect the ACC will bend over and let ND make that an annual game… their ACC rival.

Doesn’t exactly seem right. One less ACC team gets benefit of playing ND (read extra $$), and basically opens up their schedule to add another team. Ie. That take away one of their 6 originally contracted games and replace it with Standford. Opens up a slot on their schedule to schedule a Michigan, Penn State or whoever.

Nice deal for ND. Their “GOR” deal is effectively reduced to 5 games while all other ACC teams can’t do anything about the real GOR stranglehold.

Wouldn’t surprise me if ND tries to make The three new adds their perm opponents and argue that they will rotate the other three (of their required 6 vs ACC teams!)

the ongoing ACC catering to nonmember ND is sickening. Smacks of something way beyond desperation.

Join us for EVERY sport or go find a new chump for all of your other teams.

If it as seems, and the ACC caves on letting Stanford & Cal join- I would just as soon bring in OSU and WSU and then tell the Irish to KMA. I know SMU would be out of the picture and there is a benefit to being in the fertile Texas market, but the Tigers have been very successful there lately.
