are in the playoffs, since PAC 12 disolved. ( It would have been one with a PAC12)

Who actually knows...the committee can break rules and guidelines to support friends...12 teams mean SEC can have3 or 4 and Bigwhatever same...not enough eye candy for the others...ACC keeps falling on their own sword!

Top 4 of those get byes. The other 7 will go to the SEC and B10 unless a 2nd Big12 or ACC team can wiggle into the Top 11. G5 champ would basically sub in for #12.

They will change the rule since the PAC 12 is gone.

As written today, it’s the top 6 conference champs and 4 get byes. That will change to top 5 conference champs, 4 byes.
