and comes home with good news but 2 days later comes down with some terrible upper respiratory ailment - coughing like crazy and feels awful. Had to catch it there or at the mall in Columbia because she hasn't been anywhere else in a week. Tested for covid and flu and both negative. The doctor also says it isn't RSV but how many more things are going around?

Hope she gets better soon. Another reason why I try to avoid doctors offices - there are sick people there.

There are 4 other things according to my pulmonologist that they aren’t testing for. He doesn’t understand why they aren’t but for some reason they don’t. Hopefully she gets better soon.

Exactly. Had friends get it and it took a month to get through it. They had to give steroids 10 day dose and 2 rounds of antibiotics. But it was really hard for them.
Still don't know what it was.

I hope your wife gets well soon. My horror story from a Doctor's office is that I went to the Doctor with the better half on a Thursday about 4 weeks ago and after she was called back, a guy waltzed into the non-sick side of the waiting room to the receptionist. The first thing he said is I tested positive for COVID and I'm supposed to see the Doctor. I just knew I was safe because he was wearing a Faucci mask (one you can see through) and was in the area 15 minutes before he was sent back.
Well, the following Sunday I felt tired and on Monday I was sick, had no taste for about 3 days, a deep cough and chills. Just imagine that.
She's on her own from now on. I'll wait in the truck. No more Doctor's offices for me unless I have an appointment.

I hope that she gets better soon. The bug that you described has been going around. I am on day 14. I broke down and went to the doctor yesterday. The coughing can be brutal. Dont wait too long to get her seen if you are not seeing an improvement. I ended up with an antibiotic, cough medicine for day and night, and an inhaler. Tell her to stay hydrated.

She went to urgent care yesterday and they prescribed a strong cough medicine but I am not hearing any less coughing. She called another doctor today and he called in Prednisone - Pharmacy said it would be ready at 4:15 and I got there at 4:30 and had to wait until 5:15 before they had it ready. Might be the last time we use that pharmacy.

Husband exclaims - WHAT ARE YOU DOING ? ?
Wife sezs - Yestiddy the Dr. said I have the breasts of a 20 year old.
Husband says - Oh yeah ? ? Did he say anything about your 60 year old a s s e
She says - Nope - your name never came up at all.

Same thing happened to me clover and I had an RSV vaccine.I took
antibiotics but then had one ear plugged and sinus problems.Doc
put me on another antibiotic and prescription flonase. Antibiotic
probably not needed but taking anyway I hope your wife starts feeling
better.

Since 2020 I've always always always worn a mask to medical appointments. That really is where sick folks meet unfortunately. Hope she feels better soon.

The appointment Monday was at a heart center where people were being given tests - shouldn’t expect sick people coming in.

So many things are going around. I keep hand sanitizer in my car and use it as soon as I leave a public place. It's worked so far.

sits down right next to me. She proceeds into a coughing fit where she finally went outside to cough up a lung. I know it wasn't your wife, but my first thought was, couldn't she have stayed home? Any good the chiropractor may have been able to do her would quickly be coughed away?

At least one of the malls in Columbia is bad about people ending up in the ER.

He said she either got sick at the doctor's office or the mall. Columbiana Mall had gun incidents in both 2016 and 2022, so it doesn't seem like a healthy place to be.
