Who the Hel1 knows what the other coaches are even talking about.I mean I've got friends and family that attend Clemson and all the games and they don't even get caught up what the heck Dabos latest blab is about ,they just wanna get to the game and win !It just goes with Tiger territory,,,If you ain't shooting for the top you ain't Clemson material.

Spurrier is very calculating in his comments. Spurrier likely encouraged Clowney to says what he said.
It shows who they feel is the biggest obstacle between them and their goals this season.

I doubt with a schedule of UGA, UF, Tenn, Clemson, Arkansas, UNC, etc that Clemson is the biggest threat to USC, every game is a test when you are a consistent mediocre team.
Just as USC is not the biggest threat to Clemson's success with Fla St UGA etc on the schedule. Any of the big time teams can beat Clemson as easily as Clemson could go undefeated.
The good news for our state is that both teams can actually look at a schedule and legitimately state they could go undefeated. That is the first time in history both teams actually have a shot in the same year. Nov in columbia with be huge if that happens. I can't imagine what the atmosphere would be like with 11-0 Clemson visiting 11-0 USC
they would have to shut down the state for the week.

You are correct. I don't remember exact quote but he stated winning the conference was what was important, removed all the beat Clemson signs but after a few years he learned he didn't have a chance at the conference and that the sc fans eat up all this anti Clemson stuff. He is old, does not like that sc is a baseball school and keeps wanting to think his sh## does not stink. My thing is when you win, do it with class not like he does,it is such a poor example for kids.
