Like many of you, I've had a hard time getting over the loss on Monday. It still hurts and being so close will sting for a long while.
This morning I was thinking about the 30 for 30 about the Buffalo Bills ("Four Falls of Buffalo"). Head Coach Marv Levy had the unenviable task of motivating his team year after year after losing the Super Bowl. I remember that he would quote a poem to his team and that seemed to help so I decided to look it up. It went:
“Fight on, my men,” Sir Andrew Said “A little I’m hurt but not yet slain. “I’ll just lie down and bleed a while, “And then I’ll rise and Fight again.”
For both us fan and the players, coaches, etc. it's okay to take some time to reflect before we move forward. We have that luxury because it's 8 months until the Auburn game. And oftentimes fans take a loss harder than players because we feel so helpless whereas a player can (hopefully) feel that he left it all out on the field.
So players and fans alike: take some time, bleed a while, and then get ready because Clemson nation will rise to Fight again!!
