Super serial season ticket question
Jun 15, 2015, 6:00 PM

|
How does it work for getting field level season tickets? Past inquiries I've basically been told none available, no waiting list, dumb luck getting some. I imagine that no matter who we land there will be some seats let go this year. I've never looked too hard because I never have problems getting decent seats, but things look like I may be in the area a lot more in the coming seasons.

Awesome - no replies and a downvote for asking a straight question.

Wait another hour or so when the night shift arrives. You will get an answer then.

If you are talking about the new seats behind home plate, I am told that they require a one time $10K donation and then you purchase the tickets separately....not certain if that is true or not.

I was wanting field level along first baseline. I guess they're moving dugouts so not sure how whether it really matters now. Formally, the only thing in writing is you have to be an active IPTAY member (any level) to buy the field level Orange charbacks. all other seats don't even require an IPTAY membership. Riggs or a $10k/seat would be probably out of my reach at present. But I could easily be persuaded to move up a notch or two if there were some available. I think my last real inquiry was in 2011 and I was basically told none really come available. I asked when they do how are the assigned and never really got a straight answer. I go to about 10 games a year which I think is pretty good for someone who doesn't like in the upstate. Would like to go more and wouldn't mind locking up my own seat if the opportunity arose.

a few years ago. Had always been an IPTAY member, but never got tickets since he lived 3000 miles away. He met with the IPTAY people to see how to get 2 lower deck seats.
He was able to get lowers by becoming a one-time Heisman donor ($10K), then maintaining his seat level after that (I think he sits in North Stands about the 10, so whatever level that is).
That was the only way he was able to do it, so he tells me.

for the gray seats, it is a $10K one time donation to the baseball fund, not IPTAY. I think they have about 25 left on the 3rd base side they didn't sell this year. Not sure what the ticket price is, I think about $250 each.

4 at the absolute most. They aren't going to allow somebody to buy up an entire section on one donation.
And your dugout question makes me wonder if this is even a serious post. That's absurd to think they would move both dugouts to the same side. I've never seen or even heard of such in any ballpark ever.

I swear to god I thought I read that - had never heard of it either. Was something to do with the new building. I could be mistaken but don't know where in the heck I possibly got that from.
