Swimming Pool Depth?

I've always thought lack of depth in the swimming pool lead to it being axed as a sport. And before you post it, I know it's the wrong board, Moran.

I am not sure you know or not, but you posted on the wrong board.***

I believe a few on this board have tried it.

No, it was lack of forethought depth.

Recruiting Olympic caliber swimmers so they elected to shut down the swim team.

So the problem was one of length, not depth.

I guess you could say our swimming pool was a chode, as swimming pools go.

That excuse was an excuse when they dreamed up that excuse. Both of the High Schools 5 minutes from my house have indoor 50 meter pools. Tell me some more ridiculous nonsense about Clemson not being able to afford a better pool.
Did you ever see the dungeon of a swimming pool at SMU….. how about the hundreds of All American plaques they had on the walls? I’m betting no.
The largest most successful swim team on this planet, is just up the road in Charlotte. NCSU makes bank on that. Clemson could have. The money question is and always was a lie. Clemson doesn’t have to have a swim team. I just don’t sit quietly when “the lie” is trotted out as the “reason”. The reason is they don’t care. The lie they used to avoid saying they didn’t care, is money.
