TaQuan Mizzell (This Man Has a Burst like CJ did)

After watching the highlights of this top talent running back, I have to say that my running back wish list fliped. In my opinion, this kid is rare. His burst, quickness and ellusiveness are incredible for a High School talent. He doesn't go down easily either. Just watch these highlights and tell me what you think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zZRr7DDlC8

Not even in the same league as Spiller when it comes to speed. Find a highlight clip of CJ getting run down from behind... you can't do it.

In High School Cj got ran down all the time, I just think people are under-estimating TaQuan and Alvin Kamara, When it comes to film they look better than Green and Dye. In my opinion.

but seriously, find a clip of him being run down from behind (not at an angle). I can find one example of "Smoke" being run down from behind in the first 45 seconds of the highlight you just posted.
It is even close.

I watched the first three minutes and didn't see him get run

down from behind once. He got run down on angles, which is different. Your boy got run down from behind, as in, the guy behind him was physically faster. You can't not find a clip of Spiller getting tracked down from behind. It doesn't exist.

versus the high school kids Mizzel was getting run down by.
I even recognized some clips in their where Spiller was hurt with turf toe during the game, but still out ran the defenders.

Only time I saw anyone catch up with CJ

it was Jacoby Ford...and in reality CJ may have slowed down to allow Jacoby to block for him.

Jacoby is faster than CJ, as far as top end straight line speed

True that! Jacoby blitzed C.J. on the asphalt, but Spiller had so much more "game speed" and lateral/stop-and-go quickness in football.

Yeah Spiller has some incredible game speed, he can execute stop an go moves better than most players. I remember that kick off at the start of the game he took back against the #####, he put on a brutal move to finish that off.

Oh yeah i see what you mean, No one compares to CJ. I just think Taquan has better acceleration than all the other running back recruits that we're after. Except maybe Alvin Kamara.

His top end speed doesn't touch Spiller's, I agree he has great acceleration. I also think he has better running vision than Spiller did coming in. I've heard some ask why if Spiller was such a big recruit, why didn't he start from day one? Partly it is Bowden, partly it's because Davis was a very good back, and partly it is because it Spiller some time to develop that elusiveness that vaulted him to elite status later in his college career. I never saw his recruiting videos but in his freshman and sohpmore seasons He showed flashes earlier but wasn't as consistent as his last season.

Yeah after looking back over it, CJ has elite top end speed. No one compares to that, but Taquan does have some incredible acceleration. Yeah in CJ's early years he would always try to go backwards to get away from people, and would take those big losses. He Junior and Senoir years he would just hit the hole and take the contact.

that 5:39 vido would have been less than 4:00 if it was CJ.

The ONLY time I saw anyone come close to catching CJ was when he was playing with his serious turf toe injury.

Mizzle's highlights are not that impressive for a "speed" back. Especially after getting used to Ford, Spiller, Bellamy, and Watkins over the last number of years.
My preference would be Green, Kamara, then Dye. And I keep flipping between Kamara and Dye.

I see what you mean, them four guys are elite speedsters. I agree, i think Kamara is extremely talented to, Greens Highlights didn't impress me too much tho.
