ACC officials are terrible. They either don’t care about the quality of their work or they are incompetent and lack proper training. Even with all the technology at their disposal the screw up 50% of instant reply reviews.
As bad as officiating has become it can make one wonder is the games are not loosely scripted and certain teams get the breaks while other teams get the shaft.

Noone can be so consistently bad as ACC “refs” and stay employed. The fix has to be in.

Yep, I’ve never seen anyone get more calls tha TARHOLES AND CRIMINOLES! Neither has to worry, I guess Swamy is still handling officiating and it’s pretty pathetic

Does it matter? The crew doing the FlSt-Miami game was bad. Our crew yesterday wasn’t anything special. The ACC has the worst officiating and it gets worse each year.

Absolutely some of the worst officiating I have seen in years and I wasn’t pulling for Duke. I was just scouting UNC and I learned a lot. I sure hope we don’t get that crew next Saturday in the valley. It might be time for Spud to get out his referee uniform.

Ok I watched the 2 point conversion. I have said the worst officiating of all sports is college football. Most inconsistent is college basketball. I’m talking youth through the pros. I officiate high school football. Have for 40 years.
On that play the formation is wrong. It appears all wide outs to the right are in the backfield. That would put 5 in the backfield. Illegal at the snap. If the end that catches the pass is on the line meaning 7 then so is the widest receiver. You can plainly see that they are on the same yard line. That would make the inside receiver a lineman and covered up as we call it. When he catches it you could have several calls. Illegible downfield or illegal touching. If illegal touching it is also loss of down and try would not be replayed.
