TE knows how to pull a few OC levers, but is not an OC

Sep 6, 2021, 10:02 PM

I now view Tony Elliott as someone who knows how to play offensive coordinator, but IS not an offensive coordinator. Being an OC is more than just putting on an expensive headset and picking plays off a chart. I could do that. Most anyone could do that. An OC is all about having the SKILL to BE an OC. I think Jeff Scott may have had some of that magic required, but I don't think TE does. He "said" he should have run ETN more against LSU. Now, 2 years later, he "says" he should have run the ball more against UGA. I really think the man is way in over his head.

I also, think Dabo needs to tighten up on some of the legacy scholarships and also go ahead and swallow his pride regarding the transfer portal. If you factor in all the freebie scholarships "provided" to friends AND factor in not using the transfer portal, Clemson is playing with an 85-90% capacity team when compared to the likes of Bama, who do the opposite and OVERSIGN. Dabo just needs to level the playing field.

Reminds me of Napier 2010 offensive

Coordinator. Was a former Furman player that just kept edging his way up the clemson staff. Suddenly he was offensive coordinator and in over his head.
Dont think TE is in over his head, but the offense is bland like it was under Napier

This offense got figured out a few years ago and needed new schemes and Dabo and company refuse to change. May win out but who knows still can't block Ray Charles refuse to attack the middle of the field.Has a big-time TE and he only plays in spells . I'm not making millions but I'll say this Clemson would be better running tempo and a 2minute offense.Im out!

Let’s fire Tony Elliott and Dabo Swinney, what do they know.

Guess you hate winning 10 plus every year?

Yes this can and should be a wake up call but what an idiotic take. National Championships, ACC Championships, playoffs year after year. Just dumb.

I think about 95% of this post is bull sh*t…however, I agree with the scholarships…way too many big donors kids and legacies on the team…You can spot them out a mile away too when looking at the roster…5’9 165lb WR…
