I have a hard time believing they don't already know who the coach is. I figure Saban made up his mind shortly after the center made one last bad snap and his season ended. I doubt he just walked in yesterday and told them he was out with no warning.

but the ripples felt throughout CFB will. ESPECIALLY if the Kirby to the Falcons has any credence. Hard to imagine a guy like him didn't set this in motion w/ enough time to give decision makers time to make a quick replacement.
I read quite a few rumors that Saban is leaving due to his wife getting diagnosed w/ Alzheimer's.
Which, even for us joungers, is something that would be terrible for anyone and hope is not true.

point that, due to Saban's dominance and longevity, he basically killed the various booster factions that were always fighting post-Bryant. I would expect they stay dead. Look at how that has screwed Auburn over the years.

The teensiest bit of adversity and they will split. Hell if they hadn't converted that crazy 4th and 35 at the end of the Auburn game (and therefore lost to Aub, missed SEC champ and CFP), there would be a vocal 'It's time to retire' movement.
