According to ESPN NBA 2 way contracts can be worth around $500K+
The word is there will be a NIL deal for PJ in the $500K range....but nah CBB doesn't get basketball support.

Better assistants, better talent, better facilities, etc... He's running out of places to hide.

Clemson is a state funded school and I can assure you our legislature made up of many attorneys from the Law School at South Carolina would not allow even 1 penny of state money to go to an athlete at Clemson. Schools do not write checks to athletes, period.

Yes, NIL Is a big deal and Clemson is way down the list of ACC schools when it comes to NIL support amongst our basketball players.
If he truly is getting 500k, then good for him and much deserved. Hopefully we can give him another 500k for him to come back his super senior year.
I'm glad NIL is getting involved. Robert Mcrae of TCI (Who helped found an NIL Collective named Dear Old Clemson) stated that PJ Hall said he wasn't coming back unless Brownell was retained. I believe that.

Neff gets to look for a new head coach for over a year, and we get PJ Hall back for another season.
win/win.

TCI...the tabloid of Clemson fan sites.
The $500K would be new to lure him back.
Brad is replacing his best team ever with his new best team ever (according to Brown-L bros), and we will probably miss the tournament yet again. Maybe just maybe the ACC will continue it's downward trajectory allowing CBB to win a couple more games.

The problem is he'll lose games to the sorry out of conference teams on the schedule.

Brownell is a drag on the ACC. Going 14-6 after having a 161st non-conference RPI is just embarrassing for everyone. And, just to be clear, that’s where our RPI against non-conference opponents ranks us - not our strength of schedule.

Yes, it's like he believes that OCG's are unimportant that really don't have to be won, so he uses them as practice games to try different lineups.

I'm not a frequenter of TCI, but what makes it a "tabloid"?
I do know that he founded an NIL collective and he is doing more for Clemson Athletics than most. Being that he has his own collective, he gets behind the scenes insight from players as it pertains to NIL.
PJ Hall was the 3rd Clemson athlete to sign with Dear Old CLemson. If you don't think Robert has additional insight on a player like Hall, then your head is in the clouds!

TCI generally puts out good/solid information, however i believe in the past a few times Robert has prematurely put information out there that ended up being incorrect. I haven't seen that happen in a while, though. I will say he moderates their forum over there with an iron fist. You can catch the ban hammer pretty quickly.

Gotcha. He does seem kinda cocky and I could see him doing that.
Anybody that starts a collective and is involved in paying our players money to come to Clemson is good in my books.

Exactly. There are good Clemson folks who participate on the TCI forum (I’ll include myself). Every site has been burned by bad recruiting info. There’s nothing evil about TCI, but if folks here have a beef with it, so be it. Doesn’t matter to me.

$500,000.00 for a good but not great college basketball player is "much deserved"? In my opinion it's just stupid. Turn pro if you want the cash... very few players are worth that kind of money. Go Tigers!!!
