That was the same game as Clemson/Bama 2017

Where Trevor torched Bama to win by 4 tds. We’re we that much better? No. But that day we were. Same as this past game. They just ride the momentum wave and Clemson never stopped it. Just like Tua and Bama never did. Play it again and it doesn’t happen that way. Good news is, we got a trophy that way. Osu coukd very easily get nothing but a win over Clemson for this years efforts. Honestly not sure we’d beat Bama this year anyways. We don’t have the push in the middle or the playmakers in the secondary. Anything is possible (as we saw with OSU) but we gotta have dominant defense to win championships. Good news is, we got a lot of bright youngsters on defense.

Clemson / Bama in 2017 was a loss by Clemson in the playoff with Kelly Bryant. And while Kelly wasn't great against that Bama team, much of that was O-Line related. 2018 told a different story, a slightly improved O-Line and Trevor Lawerence making up for it still being a deficiency. 2019 - we had a better O-Line than we did this year, but wasn't anybody capable of hanging with LSU that year. This year? The O-Line play was poor, including the veteran. See ETN's stats for proof. The Defense did not have enough playmakers beyond Skalski, Davis and Bresee. We got no pressure on Fields and the kid played a heck of a game. Let's not forget that our Wide Receivers were pretty depleted this year.
