Emulating extremist and destructive tactics has undermined pragmatic Conservative policies. The collapse of traditional Conservatism has left our Democracy adrift in a sea of extremism with strong authoritarian winds. Use to be Pubs were for smaller, more efficient government. Now it’s bordering on let’s just blow it up and somehow things will be better. That seems unlikely.

He's trying to raise his political capital with MAGA extremists and get as much attention as he can. Neither he nor any of the people who went along with him have a plan to replace McCarthy--and removing him is stupid without a plan.
Gaetz is another self serving ###### bag trying to raise his profile. But he'll fool naïve people into thinking he has their best interests in mind.
