Brandon forgot to throw in the term "shovel ready" jobs in his speech ...

Market is unforgiving for such mistakes.

Y'all didn't really wanna retire did you ?

Orange man bad.

Dayum! I keep holding off putting more money into the market hoping it goes down some more. With these numbers and the Covid numbers receding, supply chain set to improve, maybe it's time to pull the trigger.

further or should I pull the trigger now?

Unfortunately, I think the war will get worse before it gets better and markets have further down to go before they catch fire again. Maybe just the tip?

Job growth does not equal economic growth.

One factor in the poor economy is that the USA education system is producing graduates (at both the HS level and the collegiate level) that simply cannot do the work (due to lack of skills) or will not do the work (entitlement attitude) which the economy needs them to do.

Seems that no one can fix a heating and air system or work on an automobile.

Finding young engineers, computer scientists, chemists, etc. to fill open positions is really really hard.

So the job market is strong for hiring; companies are rolling the dice by trying many poor young candidates ... for now.

One reason why the 'High Tech' companies are so frantic to kill off politicians (i.e., guys like DJT and others who endeavor to limit visas for international workers and therefore to motivate American students study something other than liberal arts or sociology) is because they want to employ international students who had earned 'hard to achieve' degrees. Many American manufacturers seek the 'trade skill' employees from Latin America and Eastern Europe / Balkans is because American kids think that they are too good for those (good paying) jobs.

So the economy suffers from a lack of skilled employees; things don't get fixed and things don't get made. This hurts GDP and adds to inflation.

Inflation is bad enough that the Federal Reserve is getting ready to start a series of big rate increases in hopes of throttling inflation. Rising rates = declining stock market.

That, on top of Biden's reckless spending on programs which do not contribute to productivity, are among the numerous reasons why the Stock Market is getting ready to tank.

But it's your money.

That’s really bad considering how high inflation is***
