The deep problems can't be hidden forever

I'm not even sure exactly what all of the problems are but Dabo is holding on to something too tight, and I think that thing might be his little idol he's built for himself "the dabo culture".

I truly think Dabo is a good and genuine person, and also a good coach, but we all know something is amiss , it's more than just the "well that's dabo he likes to talk alot" the problem is alot of his unnecessary and foolish talks have put an unnecessary target on himself on clemson.

The whole anti portal thing from the beginning was odd to me, but as time has gone on he has doubled down, not with his mouth but his actions. some will say he went after a center that went to michigan and a db that went to FSU......and? should we also give him credit for offering recruits that dont choose clemson?

I've heard people supposedly "connected inside" to clemson say dabo is making big changes regarding portal and OL and WR coaches in the offseason.......i guess we'll see but are you insinuating we have 2 dead men walking coaches currently at those positions and he still lets them run those positions into the ground? I've never understood head coaches that when they realize a certain coach is bad they just let them finish out the year anyway, if a bus driver that drove kids was bad at there job and you knew they wouldn't be retained at years end would you still just let them drive the bus anyway simply because they were under contracting putting everyone in harms way.

I agree that there are some deep issues here that need to be solved, though I think your bus driver analogy is a bit much, considering Dabo's decision to keep certain coaches until the end of the year is not putting anyone in harms way. Besides, if he got rid of a couple of guys now, who would he replace them with? Is anyone even available right now?

It’s probably difficult to hire a good coach mid-season.

oh i don't think he should try to hire anyone mid season, i would personally simply get rid of bad coaches mid season and slide someone else on staff in until the season ends.

You are free to have your opinion, but Dabo has two natties and 9 conference championships. I am going to trust Dabo even if that means we have a few “down” years. I think most of our offensive problems the last several years is a philosophy of “take what the defense gives you”. I say bologna do what we do best and continue to take chances down the field. We are playing scared to mess up on offense and you can’t play your best if you are scared.
