Pitcher Maddie Johnson from Aynor,SC Aynor High School Blue Jackets.Bad thing is is she's only a Junior so we have wait till 2026 but good news is that she currently toes the rubber with a 0.56 ERA and has 91 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched(saw this stat in my local news paper this past week)... https://www.myhorrynews.com/sports/a-dream-becomes-a-reality-aynor-softball-player-commits-to-clemson/article_fb0c99b4-6de7-11ee-8992-8bc007e8892e.html https://twitter.com/MaddieJ2025

Good deal. Looking like a great one.

There's plenty that would love to come to Clemson. Problem is, words getting out that Rittman won't develop or play them. I really hope change is coming to the team.

We could have done a better job with McWhorter too. But that's just my personal perspective from seeing other stadiums.

No truer words have ever been spoken. Rittman is definitely known to play "his" favorites, irregardless of how they perform in the field or at bat. He has basically put the same players out there all year long with hardly any changes outside of when an injury happens. There is talent on that bench or they wouldn't have been asked to come play at Clemson. It is also very evident his skills at developing players over the years is negative. Rittman might be a great recruiter or starter of a new program. That is where his skill set ends. He has zero game management skills, he stands down at 3rd and just let's the game play out. At times we get the BIG hit and win, and often this year we don't. Hopefully they can make things happen in the tournament, but I wouldn't look for any lineup changes.
