The heat would not be on jack as much if USC

had 2 less CWS championships. Its like with dabo, If he had won 4 straight against SOS he would be on the coldest seat in the country. but 4 straight loses to SOS means he is one average (7-8 win) season from getting canned.
When USC has a better program than us in anything our reaction should be to surpass them with who we have or find someone who can.

was under construction. Ray Tanner could ride them by the site and show them where they'd be playing. In case you've forgotten, the new stadium was a year behind schedule because of the soil at the site. It opened in 2008, but construction began in 2005 or 06. All Clemson has is pictures.

So, are you implying our stadium is holding us back?

I don't know the exact timing of the new gamecock stadium and the recent success they've enjoyed in the College WS, but I do know that SCAR had an excellent program and played in national championship finals in Omaha long before they built the new facility.

I have flat-out stated that the stadium is holding the program back. All the programs that people love to cite about having "past Clemson" have made major investments in their facilities and Clemson has not. Believe it or not, there is a direct correlation between on-the-field success and investment. Look at what the football program has accomplished after building the West Endzone project. It isn't a coincidence.

Blueridge has said the following in his post

In case his pic of Liberty's stadium went over some heads.
The facilities argument has merit if you only look at losses to SC. When you look at the "seating" at Liberty's stadium and the 2 straight losses this weekend, the argument loses credibility.

That doesn't look like a mill village park.
Liberty? Really? Lynchburg? Really? I know Clemson is considered to be a cow town but, Lynchburg? Facilities?
You might as well have said we were baking pies. One excuse is good as another.

lol ah the excuses continue from the Jack Leggett fan club.
Pathetic so called "fans" care more about a HC than the well being of Clemson.

Why do we not hold Dabo accountable to the same standards that some of us want to bee-atch and moan about Leggett and Brownell? I'll give him the ACC title and some nice wins along the way (VT, UA, FSU, LSU), and he is a great recruiter, but his bottom line is just not that impressive against quality teams since 2009. Check out the facts before some of you Dabo-worshippers implode.

Baseball Fan now using facilities as an excuse as to why Clemson can't win. Anything to divert attention away from Leggett...

ahhhhhh yeah, i can remember just a matter of a few months ago a certain young lad named 91 wanted coach dabo run out of town on a rail. now he soils himself after every stud recruit commits. and coach brownell always got the "pathetic" thrown his way. imagine him now on coach leggetts asss. maybe he should just stay down there in columbia with his buddy phil where everything is wine and roses.

Clemson's baseball facilities are not bad at all. I've enjoyed the games and atmospheres that I've had the chance to be a part of at DKS. While it is true that USCe has some of the best facilities in college baseball, DKS isn't far behind. Old doesn't always mean worse. New doesn't always mean better. Example, Miami Marlins haha
Clemson seems like they can never put both sides of baseball together at the same time. If the Tigers have strong pitching, it's as if the bats are dead. If the bats are hot, it would appear that the pitching is giving up runs. While I agree that Jack is no Ray, he isn't a bad coach and is suffering from comparisons to a team that appeared in 3 straight CWS Finals and won 2 of them. Let LeCroy hit the recruiting trail and CU will trend up.

Well, no kidding, Caption Obvious. Those are the only the possible choices there are, so no s#!t. You couldn't very well play without a coach could you? Of course you have to win with who you have, or someone else.
