For those who claim Dabo isn't telling the truth

If he told the "whole truth and nothing but the truth" many of the same people would accuse him of throwing the players under the bus. The real truth is that individual players have failed to hold onto the ball or have missed blocks that would have made huge differences in the outcome of these games. We still have the talent to beat all these teams we have lost to. I don't think a coach should take the blame for bad plays caused by otherwise talented players. I have seen Watson, Whitehurst, and Trevor have plays that made me think "WTH are you doing!" Sometimes those plays didn't lose games and sometimes they did but the coaches didn't get blamed for those few plays. Maybe all the current situation is because big individual bad plays have been very too frequent this year.

the issues aren't 100% on players, coaches are respsonsible to correct mistakes

But if the coach has already done everything to correct certain mistakes that can be done by ANY coach and the player(s) do it again, can that player (or those who wish to question what more should the coach have done) really say, "I wish the coach had taught me (him) better?"

I guess my point is if a player has been coached and still doesn;t get it

isn;t it time to move to another player and shouldn't the coach be ready for that

Trevor Lawrence owned one of his bad plays from his game Sunday.

He threw into double coverage at the end of a drive, and got picked. After the game, he simply said, Yeah, that one was on me, I never should have thrown that ball, should have just thrown it out of bounds."
Now, some of our players have also taken responsibility for boneheaded plays this year. Cade admitted he didn't hand the ball off on the last play of the Miami game, even though that was the play that was called. But, we lost that game, and Trevor's Jaguars WON their game. Both gaffes probably cost their teams touchdowns, but one is magnified due to when it occurred, and the fact that it physically ended the game in a loss.
Should coaches be blamed in either of those cases? I say no. PLAYERS ultimately have to play the game. You don't think the coaches have harped at Blake Miller, or others who commit these false start penalties? You could read Dabo's lips last game when he was yelling to Stellato, "WATCH THE BALL!" Meaning, don't move until it is snapped, don't "anticipate" that snap coming.
Coaches can try and instill discipline all they want, but it is the players who have to implement those plans. I believe that is one of the things that is so frustrating to Dabo at this time. In his mind, the coaching staff is doing all the same things that have brought major success in the past, but for some reason, this team is just apparently not capable of executing those same plans. The results are easily seen, but the reason FOR those results is apparently NOT apparent in practices, otherwise, it would have been fixed long before now.

Well 76’er, do you think our only problem according to Dabo) is the fumbles? Our OL can’t block and we haven’t developed players. I trust Dabo to fix the issues and realize fumbles did cost us several games. However, whether against FSU or Miami .. shouldn’t we be able to run the ball in from the one?
Not even sure “Tyler” is a fan, probably a Coot just calling in stirring up trouble but.. we have more issues than just fumbling ..

the calling Dabo a liar take.
He has a clause in his contract that is rare: he can't cause mental/physical suffering. I don't know if it has a chilling affect on his media work, but, I bet he doesn't want to take any chances.
I think it explained his kid-gloved approach to the QB situation last year. And maybe his angle this year.
Or maybe Dabo just isn't willing to torch his kids or his coaches in the public square. I think it's maybe that more than the contract thing.
It doesn't really matter, though, does it? 4-4 is 4-4. You can't spin it, can't "yeah, but" it.
If they go 0-4/1-3 to close this campaign out, he's going to feel heat whether anyone thinks it's fair or not. Because, economics.
