That would be UNPRECEDENTED to have half the CHAMPIONSHIP field composed of non-champions.

Winning your Conference Championship is a major criteria for a reason.

Field should be:

3 - Best P5 Conference Champions
(since other 2 have 3 losses)

1 - Best Non-Champion from remaining teams

Make it happen Boo.

Since TCU and OcryO State FAILED to even win their own confetence championship they disqualified themselves from automatic consideration and the comittee should have to choose between them for the 4th spot.

So...you'd rather fight against our Clemson Tiger ACC Champ team and "established" precedents for the selection comittee than quit your tirade against Dabo.

I would expand the argument to separate the conference championship losers from the ones that didn't even make it there. Why should the losses by USC and TCU have the same negative impact when 4 teams ahead of us sat at home? Penn St, Alabama, Tennessee, and Ohio State didn't even make it to the championship game.

What would have happened if TCU or USC would have just refused to play their championship game?

They both won their championship by beating higher ranked teams. What makes their 3 losses worse than Clemson’s 2? They both have better wins.

A lot of people don’t like Todd Blackledge but he said it best last night: Clemson had a path and they didn’t do what they needed to do against SC.
