Moore is a great pick up, but I think our coaches will go where ever the best kids are from. Look at Christian Wilkins from Mass who played HS in Connecticut.

True.
But you have to wonder if they've reprioritized based on the small sample size of of California players we've recruited.
East Coast vs. West Coast mentality is different.

So you think Cali recruits are inferior based on their birth state?

Not based on the birth of their state, but rather the state of the competition at the high school level. High School Football just means more in the south.
My high school's stadium is bigger than Gardner Webb University's.
You can't hardly find that out west and especially in California. I can't speak for the whole state but I haven't seen anything like that in southern California.
So kids who grow up here typically see more advanced competition from a young age which is what gives them a step up on someone from out west typically. Not in every case but usually.

Per capita California isn't that impressive. For example, it has around 4x the population of Georgia but less than twice as many pro players. Looks like it would be way down the list if population were taken into account.

But to your point, the Pacific coast players are even more hamstrung by the West Coast time zone and (related) demise of the Pac 12 conference. If a tree falls in the forest and no one sees it ...

for the rest of your natural life for simultaneously displaying an ungodly amount of ignorance and innate stupidity regarding the subject of regional recruiting while ernestly opining on the subject– —on general principle alone the ban applies to the Reservation as well—

I believe he was referring to how well our last few Cali players turned out:
DJ - Bust Ngata - Bust Beaux Collins - not a bust yet, but has not necessarily lived up to recruit ranking so far. A big year for him this season would change that.

The sample size is too small to draw any meaningful empirical data? Generally the bare minimum of a sample size is 30. The sample size is not too small; the sample size DOES NOT yet exist—
