The Three Best Clemson W's in my lifetime (97--)

1. The first time I ever saw Dabo coach in person, I was in 6th grade, this was while he was still the interim coach and shellacked USuC on a rainy day at Death Valley.
2. Last year's victory over FSU certainly set the stage for our quick rise to getting a LITTLE national respect.
3. The win over LSU in Atlanta. I had never been so proud of the team in my life. We absolutely just out-played the Cajun Tigs and their "SEC Toughness."

Here's one that wasn't a win, but was a great omen game...

The most famous meeting between the two schools in any sport took place on November 12, 1977 when a pair of top 15 football teams met in Clemson's Death Valley. A fifth-ranked Notre Dame football team led by Joe Montana, defeated a 15th-ranked Clemson team led by Steve Fuller, 21-17. Notre Dame went on to win the National Championship. Thirty-six players in that game went on to play in the NFL.

i was @ 89 mazda gator
my first Clemson bowl game (8 years old)
the bowl/road wins are always the most enjoyable
so I really enjoyed the Willie Simmons comeback @ UNC when he came in for Woodrow - 2000
and the win down in Tally in 06
my bowl record...ugh...my ATL record...double ugh
loses to LSU, AUBURN 2X, MSU, GT 2X, ALABAMER
missed the Kentucky and UT wins
losses to Syracuse (McNabb) and VT (Vick) in orange
2000 v USC may have been best as student

82 Orange Bowl for National Championship 78 Beat USC with the Butler catch 00 Beat USC with Catch 2 over Louser Holtz, great comeback
I've got to add these also 81 win over UNC at Chapel Hill 79 win over ND at ND 78 win over Ohio St in Gator Bowl 13 win over LSU in bowl game
and I know many may not remember these two but one a great comeback to keep the streak alive over Va. and one to beat NCST in white shoes games and a game Clemson wore orange shoes
66 Beat Va 40-35 as Addison hit Jacky Jackson down the sideline with a long pass to win the game late in the 4th quarter. We know Howard did not like throwing the ball.
67 Beat NCST, they were ranked 10th and had won all their games wearing white shoes, Clemson dyed their Orange and Buddy Gore had a great day runnning the ball.
many other bowls game wins were big and gave Clemson a big name by beating big time teams such as
78 Gator Bowl beat Ohio St 87 Citrus Bowl beat Penn St 88 Citrus Bowl beat Okahoma 89 Gator Bowl beat W. Va. 90 Hall of Fame Bowl beat Ill.
winning those games on National TV put Clemson on the map in college football and their names lives today because of those wins and wins over UGA to get there.

bleachers in the end zone for that one. Dwight Clark's long catch to tie it came straight at us. Almost died on the way back. They had snowplowed the outside lane and no warning. Came around a turn running 70 with a barrier wall on the left and nowhere to go on the right. Thankfully that little VW geared down for me. Any other vehicle and it probably wouldn't have worked. Great game. Mentioned it to Clark one time at the Masters. +1.
